Hello, my Darlings! Happy Monday! We are having an amazing June and I hope that you are as well! Actually, I expect it out you. I want you to Live YOUR Life in whichever ways make YOU feel the most joyful and enriched. Please remember, it is not your business or concern if someone does not understand what you are doing, how you are doing it, or what makes you smile, as long as it is safe and healthy. Or, in modern terms: Ignore the Haters! Go forth in beauty, and have an excellent week. It is finally here! JUNE!!! Yay for Summer! Summer is awesome anywhere, but most especially for us in the Midwest and those on the East Coast. I had a difficult time narrowing down my to do list for this entry, because really, my list of things I want to do and celebrate in June is huge! Here are 4 that I am pretty gosh darn excited about! We love to get out for walks and hikes, and I find mixing it up important. For this month, I plan on checking out the options for Riverwalks around us. Garage Sales! My little Bunny and Fox have inherited my spirited passion for finding good deals on neat things. They are both early risers like me, and during the Summer months they love to get up on weekends and head out to see what we can find in the neighborhood. It is such a simple activity that brings a lot of joy, big smiles, and is great family bonding. Last Summer we hand filled water balloons and had quite the splashy good time in the backyard! The next time we do a water balloon fight, I want to make even more of a day of it. I think teams with colored T shirts or with team names written on them would be neat. Do you have a system for water balloon fights? As a part of our homeschooling curriculum we work on all kinds of stories, including Tall Tales. Most recently we have worked on Pecos Bill and Paul Bunyan, and I was very excited to learn that June 28th is National Paul Bunyan day! We will be revisiting the story of Paul Bunyan by checking out books from the library, watching the couple of movies that I know of about him, making a giant sized stack of flapjacks, and maybe making a Babe craft? If you can think of anything creative to do, please let me know in the comments! |
